Innaction Health and Fitness Centre is one of the most centrally based gyms in York. It is situated within the Park Inn Hotel York and is open to both hotel residents and the general public.
Corporate discounts are available when at least six employees join from the same company.
Companies we currently are in partnership with include Norwich Union, City of York Council, N.H.S, Rail Companies and Students (with a valid NUS card). To register as a new company please contact the club to find out available discounts and offers.
The gym is compact and equipped with a range of cardio-vascular and resistance equipment, including treadmills, cross-trainers, bikes, Stepping Machine and a Concept 2 Rowing Machine.
The gym has a small free weights area, stretch area and a weights bench, which is set up for more advanced exercises. The bench can be used both flat and on an incline.
All members of the Innaction Gym will receive a free initial programme where a fully qualified instructor will show you how to safely use the equipment. Inductions will usually last for one hour and will include a free consultation whereby your Instructor will help determine your long and short term goals and will also design you a detailed fitness plan, specifically to suite your needs. All exercises will be properly demonstrated, with particular emphasis on good Form (technique), correct posture and correct breathing. All vital in exercising safely and getting the most out of your time spent in the gym!
We also offer optional six weekly programme reviews whereby the instructors will follow your progress, provide new exercises and set you realistic challenging goals. The programme reviews are a great way to monitor your improvements and give terrific motivation.
For more sport specific training, the Innaction Gym has a number of stability balls, medicine balls, stability discs and therapy bands. These add a new dimension to your training plan. All the above exercises can be properly demonstrated by our fitness team and the benefits include improved co-ordination, balance, power and flexibility.
Free parking is available to all members of the Innaction Gym while using the facility. Complimentary newspapers and coffee, discounts on beauty treatments and 25% off Hotel food and beverage. Most studio classes are also free to club members.
For guests looking to relax, Adonia Beauty Salon is situated within the Innaction Health Club. Alternatively why not make use of the clubs Sauna for the perfect way to relax after your pampering session or a hard workout!
